The Labour Party is holding its annual conference in Liverpool, having re-elected leader Jeremy Corbyn with an increased mandate. He called for unity after ending a "coup" by MPs who say his left-wing agenda can never deliver victory at the polls. For Corbyn's supporters, his re-election gives them what some describe as their one chance to make Labour a socialist party.
This move to the left, to Old Labour ideologies, can perhaps be seen in the conference backdrops. Under Ed Miliband, these backdrops were usually blue or the bright pink of Harriet Harman's bus, but this year there's more red than at a home game at Anfield. Liverpool has rolled out the red carpet. And the red wallpaper. It has raised the red flags. IBTimes UK presents the best photos from the Labour Party 2016 conference in Liverpool.
