Liverpool transfer news: Reds 'make contact with Lyon' about winger Rachid Ghezzal
Algerian international is reportedly being chased by the Anfield club and three other sides.
Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Lyon regarding Rachid Ghezzal. The 24-year-old Algerian winger has just one year left on his current deal and has been linked with a transfer this summer.
Lyon do not wish to lose the wide-man for nothing this year. The French club are, therefore, willing to listen to offers for the player.
"He still hasn't signed a contract renewal," Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas said, according to L'Equipe. "If he does not sign it next week, we will put him on the [transfer] market."
Liverpool are reportedly one of four teams interested in Ghezzal's services, with Valencia named as another.
Meanwhile, the agent of Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli recently confirmed the Italian striker is set to return to Anfield following an unsuccessful loan spell at AC Milan.
Mino Raiola said his client will return to Liverpool to discuss his future with manager Jurgen Klopp. "His last year was quiet. There has been not talk about his behaviour and has not had any bad episodes. His problem has been the injuries that has prevented him from being at his best," Raiola said to Marca.
