Where to watch live

Kick-off is at 6:00pm GMT. Live coverage of the match in the UK will be available on BT Sport Europe and BT Sport Europe HD.

Overview

The stalemate in the first leg in Germany ensured that the second leg at Anfield will be a make or break match for Liverpool, who host Augsburg in the Europa League on 25 February. The hosts, who did not have a weekend game to contend with, would have got a much needed break and they will need to make it count if they are to progress to the last 16 stage.

Their manager, Jurgen Klopp, will be a happy man, seeing Daniel Sturridge fit and running again. The English international, who has featured in their last two games, adds that extra pace and skill.
Liverpool are unbeaten in five European matches since their 3-0 loss to Real Madrid in the 2014-15 Champions League group stage and have never lost to German opposition at home in 14 matches. Klopp will not have the services of Adam Lallana (calf), Martin Skrtel, Dejan Lovren (both hamstring) as well as Danny Ings and Joe Gomez (both knee).

Augsburg come into the game after beating Hannover 1-0 in the Bundelsliga, registering their first win of 2016. The German side were better with long passages in the first leg and were perhaps unlucky not to have found the net. However, they will have to play without Raul Bobadilla who is a doubt due to a thigh problem. He has been their star player, scoring six goals in the Europa League so far. Augsburg will be missing seven players due to injury for their Liverpool trip.
