London travel chaos: Severe Tube delays on Victoria and Overground heaps misery on commuters

Commuters are facing yet another chaotic journey into and around the capital during the morning rush hour on 14 January, due to severe delays on the Victoria line and on the London Overground. A signal failure has triggered a suspension between Brixton and Victoria with severe delays on the rest of the line.
Meanwhile on the London Overground, there is no service between Gunnersbury and Richmond. There are severe delays between Gunnersbury and Stratford and Clapham Junction, and minor delays between Gospel Oak and Barking.
On the District line, minor delays have been reported between Edgware Road and Wimbledon due to an earlier signal failure at Fulham Broadway. A good service is running on the rest of the line.
Colindale station was earlier closed due to an emergency on the platform, but it has since re-opened. Social media users are sharing nightmare stories of their commute into London, with some passengers criticising the lack of communication. One commuter reported a 50 metre queue just to get into Stockwell station, on the Victoria line.
A TFL spokesperson told IBTimes UK that the transport authority is working as quickly as possible to resolve all delays.
