London's St Paul's evacuated over 'suspicious package'
False alarm after item found in building causes evacuation in central London.
The area around London's St Paul's Cathedral was evacuated following reports of a suspicious package.
St Martin's Le Grand were evacuated following reports a package has been found inside a building.
A controlled explosion was recently carried out in nearby St Mary Axe's following concerns about a suspicious vehicle, which was later deemed a false alarm.
Police later confirmed the item was deemed non-suspicious and officers are working to clear the incident. Officers advised the cordons during the evacuation process are still currently in place.
A City of London Police spokesperson said: "We are currently in attendance in St Martin's Le Grand (EC1) following a report of a suspicious package inside a building. We were called at 10.23am.
"The item has now been deemed non suspicious and officers are working to clear the incident. Cordons are still currently in place."
