Lukey Maxwell death: Arthur Gorol in court over murder of Tottenham musician as six suspects released
Detectives investigating the murder of Lukey Maxwell in Tottenham have charged a 36-year-old man with his murder.
Arthur Gorol, 36, of Tregelles Road, Hoddeson has been remanded in custody to appear before Hendon Magistrates Court today (Monday, 8 June) at 9.30am.
Four men aged 40, 55, 32 and 34 and two women aged 42 and 47 arrested on Friday (5 June) in relation to this incident have all been released with no further action.
Maxwell was found collapsed on the street in Northumberland Park in the early hours of Friday. Paramedics fought to save his life but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tributes poured in from across Tottenham, where he was a well-known face, with London rapper Chip (formerly Chipmunk), whose real name is Jahmaal Fyffe, leading messages of condolence.
"Can't sleep or think straight. This one doesn't seem real. Never imagined seeing the Triplets without Lukey," he tweeted.
He later tweeted: "Praying for their loved one's strength. RIP Lukey man. He always vouched for me."
