Madonna and son Rocco Ritchie put legal drama behind to enjoy intimate dinner in London

Pop queen Madonna and former husband Guy Ritchie were involved in a long-drawn custody battle for their son Rocco. But now it seems that the songstress has put the legal tension behind as she jetted to London to spend some quality time with her teenage son, before he begins his new school term.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, the mother-son duo enjoyed a quiet meal at the city's Farmacy restaurant on Tuesday (13 September). For the occasion, the Vogue singer sported a casual black tee and chequered trousers with minimal bling. Like mother, 16-year-old Rocco appeared to be in good spirits as he was photographed by paparazzi leaving the eatery.

He sported a casual look for the night-out with Madonna, and was dressed in a pink stripped polo tee, loose-fit pants and trainers.

An onlooker, who was present at the restaurant, told the publication, "They looked like any other mother and son out for dinner, and seemed happy and relaxed with each other. They sat by the entrance and were laughing and joking over their meal."

"Looking at them, you'd never guess they'd been through so much drama this summer with the custody battle. It's clear they're happy it's all over and they can get on with life," he added.

The 58-year-old singer has flown into London to help Rocco with school as his father reportedly flew to Malibu. "It's the start of a new school year and if his father, who lives in London, can't be there, then his mother is going to have to be," a source close to the singer said.

The news comes after the Like A Virgin songstress lost the custody of her son to her former husband and English filmmaker Guy Ritchie. According to reports, Rocco's permanent custody has been haned over to his father.

Madonna and Ritchie were married for eight years before they called it quits in 2008 and the 48-year-old director remarried Jacqui Ainsley. Although the singer has children, Rocco is the only child with Ritchie.
