Man Arrested Over Blow-Up Doll Killing of Robert Hart at Parklife Manchester
A man has been arrested on suspicion of killing a reveller at a music festival in an argument over an inflatable doll.
Robert Hart, 26, died after being punched to the ground at the Parklife festival in Heaton Park, Manchester, last weekend.
Hart, of Macclesfield, had tried to stop his girlfriend from being hit repeatedly with a blow-up doll near the main stage at the event, at around 9.15pm.
In the wake of his killing, friends hailed Hart as "simply awesome" and someone with a "love of music and of life".
The suspect was arrested in Cheshire where he is now being questioned.
Detective Inspector Richard Eales said: "Over the last two weeks, we have received a huge amount of support from both the public and the media for the appeal to help find the person responsible.
"We now have a man in custody but that doesn't mean the investigation is at an end. We are continuing to investigate and we are renewing our appeal for information or any relevant footage."
