The attack occurred in front of horrified shoppers and visitors to the seaside resort.
A man had his throat slit and was repeatedly stabbed in a savage attack in Margate, Kent. The incident occurred at roughly 5pm yesterday (12 August) in front of shoppers and families on the British seaside resort.
The man, who is in his 30s, suffered injuries to his neck and arms. He was found conscious and breathing and was treated by paramedics at the scene before being airlifted to a London hospital.
Eyewitnesses said local residents who witnessed the incident were shocked.
Reece Dawson, 24, told Mirror Online: "When I went down there forensics were all kitted up and there was a substantial amount of blood. You could see where the blood had spurted out of his neck.
"It was so close to shops where families were out shopping, it was very busy and lots of families were looking at the police working. It's always very busy at that time of day."
A police spokesman said: "The circumstances surrounding this incident are currently unexplained. This area is frequented by a lot of people and we would ask anyone who believes they have details on this incident to call us."
