Man and woman dead in separate bus crashes in Ealing and Shepherd's Bush

A man and a woman were killed in separate bus crashes in west London.

Both victims died after being hit by the vehicles within hours of each other in unrelated incidents in Ealing and Shepherds Bush.

A 44-year-old man was hit in Uxbridge Road, Southall, late on 14 April before a woman aged 50 died in a crash in Westfield Way, Shepherds Bush. No arrests were made in either incident.

A police spokeswoman said: "Police were called at 7.24am this morning to reports of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian in Westfield Way, Shepherds Bush.

Confirming the death of the 50 year-old, a Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Next of kin have not been informed; formal identification awaits. The driver of the bus stopped at the scene. She was not arrested."
