Man and woman shot dead at East Finchley estate in London
Police were called to Elmhurst Crescent at 6.35am on Thursday.
A man and woman have been killed in an early morning shooting at a north London estate on 15 September.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police attended an address at Elmshurst Crescent in East Finchley at approximately 6.25am where they found the victims already dead. A third male victim was injured in the attack and taken to hospital.
A Met police spokesman said: "Police were called by London Ambulance Service at approximately 06:25hrs on Thursday, 15 September to reports of two people injured at an address in Elmshurst Crescent, N2. Officers attended and found two people - a man and a woman - suffering gunshot injuries. Both were pronounced dead at the scene."
A London ambulance spokesperson said: "We were called at 6.22am today, 15 September to reports of an incident at an address near East End Road, N2. We sent three ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance."
Gun crimes in Barnet are low with only four in the borough in the 12 months to July compared with six the previous year. Overall there were 270 in London last year.
