Manchester City set to offer new deals to David Silva and Leroy Sane
Silva and Sane have been instrumental figures in City's sparkling start to the season.
Manchester City are set to offer David Silva a new contract to keep him at the Etihad Stadium until 2020, which would see him mark a decade at the club.
The Spaniard, who alongside Yaya Toure is City's joint longest-serving player and will turn 32 in January, is under contract until 2019 but is understood to be keen to extend his deal by 12 months.
According to the Mirror, the midfielder, who joined City in 2010 and has won every domestic trophy with the club, will put pen to paper on a new £160,000-a-week deal in the coming weeks.
"When he can finally sign the contract, we'll be very happy," City manager Pep Guardiola told reporters ahead of his side's clash with Southampton on Wednesday night (29 November).
"What he's done for the club will be written in the history books in the future and I hope he'll continue for the next years."
Silva's sparkling form has been a major factor in City's perfect start to the campaign, as the Spaniard has already provided eight assists this season, more than anyone else in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, the league leaders are also set to offer a new deal to Leroy Sane, although the German will have to wait until the end of the current campaign.
According to the Sun, City are eager to reward the 21-year-old's superb start to the season with a new contract, which will see his weekly wages go from £60,000 to around £80,000.
The Germany international has already scored eight times and assisted a further eight goals in 19 appearances in all competitions and while he has over three years left on his deal, City are ready to offer him improved terms.
"Leroy will be rewarded for his performances with a new deal next summer," a source was quoted as saying.
"He has to bide his time for now as he is behind De Bruyne, Silva and Fernandinho in terms of what the club want to address.
"He is one of the lowest-paid in the team, but will get a nice bump up to start matching the others.
"The club want him to concentrate on his football for now and then it will be spoken about once we get towards the end of the season."
