Manchester City vs Real Madrid, Champions League 2015/16 semi-final: Where to watch live, preview, betting odds and possible XI
Manchester City take on Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final clash at the Etihad on Tuesday, 26 April.
Where to watch live
Kick-off is at 7:45pm GMT. Live coverage is BT Sport Europe. Radio commentary of the game will be available on BBC Radio 5 Live.
Overview
City made it to the last four of the Champions League after beating Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 on aggregate. It was Kevin De Bruyne's goal in both legs that saw the Premier League side make it to the semi-final of Europe's elite club competition for the first time in the club's history.
Real, on the other hand, were forced to come from a 2-0 away leg defeat to Wolfsburg to win the two-legged tie 3-2 on aggregate. It was Cristiano Ronaldo's hat-trick that helped the 10-time English champions seal a place in the semi-final of the competition.
Manuel Pellegrini's side are already out of the Premier League title race and the Champions League is the only competition left for them to fight for this season. In the last fixture, City registered a comfortable 4-0 victory over Stoke City at home.
The La Liga giants were forced 2-0 down against Rayo Vallecano to win the tie 3-2. In the absence of Ronaldo, it was Gareth Bale, who stepped up as the brace from the former Tottenham Hotspur star helped Real seal three points in their last league tie.
What manager says
Manuel Pellegrini: "For me the most important lesson is that in the last two Champions Leagues we played Barcelona in the last 16 and in three of the four games we played with one player less. It's very important to have hot hearts but a cold mind. To play with one player less and commit unnecessary penalties decides the score."
Zinedine Zidane: "We can definitely win it. In 2014 there was the same atmosphere in the dressing room [when claiming La Decima]. I noticed the players were really focused, aiming for that goal. We're in the final straight and we're ready for anything. My idea is always we're in this together, that's why I bring the whole squad. We are united."
