Manchester man Reon Davis charged with strangling woman unconscious during five-hour rape
Manchester man Reon Davis has been accused of strangling a woman and raping her in an attack that lasted five hours.
Greater Manchester Police charged Davis, 25, of Barnett Avenue, Didsbury, with two counts of rape, sexual assault and an offence of choke/suffocate/strangle to render unconscious/ incapable of resistance with intent to commit indictable offence.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Monday (29 June).
Davis was arrested and charged after police were called to an address in the south Manchester area on 26 June after a complaint was made that a woman had been repeatedly raped and assaulted over a five-hour period.
Specially trained officers are continuing to offer support to the woman.
