Manchester United: Paris Saint-Germain pondering loan move for Angel Di Maria
Manchester United winger Angel di Maria is reportedly a loan target for Paris Saint-Germain following the signing of Memphis Depay earlier in the week.
According to the Daily Mail, the president of PSG has spoken to Jorge Mendes, the Argentinean's agent, about taking the winger on loan for the upcoming season.
Di Maria joined United for a British-record £59.7m from reigning European champions Real Madrid last summer, but has struggled to adapt to the Premier League.
The 27-year-old winger, who started his career at Old Trafford in impressive fashion with three goals and a similar number of assists in his first three games, went off the boil and has not scored in the league since last October.
His poor performances in recent months have seen him fall down the pecking order, with Juan Mata and Ashley Young being preferred by manager Louis van Gaal in recent months.
The Argentinean international has not started a game for United since being sent off during their loss against Arsenal in the FA Cup quarterfinal in February.
Now the arrival of Memphis Depay, who also plays in a similar position, has put the former Real star's future in doubt and it is claimed that PSG are prepared to take him on loan.
According to the Independent, the French club can sign him for a loan fee of £6m for the entire season, where they will also have to pay his full wages and have an option of making his move permanent at the end of the season.
Laurent Blanc's team were interested in signing the winger last summer, but could not afford him due to the FFP sanctions, but are willing to take him on this summer.
Van Gaal had admitted earlier in the season that he would talk to the winger regarding his future at the end of the campaign and was willing to sanction a move if the player put in a request.
