Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has made it clear that Manchester United target Neymar is not for sale this summer or any other summer, as he wants the Brazilian star to retire at the Catalan club.

The Red Devils were linked with a surprise move for the Barcelona forward, according to The Sun, after they missed out on signing Pedro, who chose Chelsea over United.

Moreover, The Guardian understands that the former Santos star is open to the idea of moving to Old Trafford this summer. But the Premier League giants are reportedly targeting a long-term strategy with the transfer likely to happen next summer.

While dismissing the idea of Neymar's move, Bartomeu has indicated that their club will begin contract talks with him in the coming months. "We do not want Neymar to leave. He is young and we want him to retire here at our club," Bartomeu told 'Club Mitjanit' on Radio Catalunya, as quoted by Goal. "We will discuss Neymar's renewal in some months' time as he must stay here - not only for the next three seasons, but for the next five or 10."

The Brazilian international forward's agent Wagner Ribeiro has also echoed the president's views by insisting that there is no truth in the rumours linking his client with a move away from the Camp Nou. "There is nothing," Ribeiro told Globo Esporte, as reported by Marca.

"This is summer window speculation. It does not exist. He has three more years on his contract. The English newspapers are very speculative. Barcelona never think about selling Neymar and he is very happy there."
