Manchester United vs Leicester City: Ander Herrera explains why he wants to spoil Foxes' title party
Ander Herrera wants Manchester United to beat Leicester City in their upcoming league clash in order to boost their chances of finishing in the top four and also delay the Foxes' title party. Claudio Ranieri will take his men to Old Trafford as they face the Red Devils in the Premier League tie on 1 May.
Leicester have enjoyed a brilliant campaign as they sit on top of the table with 76 points from 35 matches. Louis van Gaal's side are fifth in the table with 59 points after 34 matches, trailing fourth place Arsenal by five points, who have played one more game than United.
A win over United will see Leicester clinch the title with two games to spare. However, the Spaniard is keen on making sure that the Foxes do not win the title at the home of the 20-time English champions in order to keep the Red Devils' hope of finishing the 2015/16 season in top four.
"First of all I have to say that we think about Manchester United, we are still in the race, we have to be in the top four it's very important for us," Herrera told Sky Sports.
"After that it is true that we are playing against Leicester, a very good side who are playing fantastic. But we don't want them to win the title at Old Trafford - I think they deserve to win the league but I hope they can do it at home.
"We are Manchester United and we have to win because we have to be in the Champions League next season.
"Leicester can win the league at Old Trafford but it is not our business. Our business is Manchester United, we have to fight until the end for the top four and that's what we are going to do.
"After that if Leicester wants to win the league at home they will have to play very good because I think we are in a good moment."
