Overview
United come into this fixture after suffering a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Everton in their last league clash at Goodison Park. The defeat came after the Red Devils suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of league leaders Chelsea away from home.
It is for the first time Louis van Gaal has suffered two league defeats as United manager. The Dutchman will be hoping to set things right when against the Baggies this weekend. Three points will further strengthen their position to finish the season in top four.
Meanwhile, West Brom enter this game after a goalless draw against Liverpool in the last league fixture at home. Tony Pulis' side have managed only one win in the last five league games.
The former Crystal Palace manager will be hoping his side can bounce back with a victory over United on Saturday. He is aware that Van Gaal's side has a very good home record and will be aware that the Old Trafford club will be looking to bounce back after their two defeats.
What Managers Say
Louis van Gaal: "Rooney is fit to play, it was not so heavy as we expected. Wayne is very important for us, so I am very happy. Jones is fit but we have to see his match rhythm, of course. But Shaw has trouble with his groin so he cannot play."
Tony Pulis: "We have had a few injuries this week. It's been disappointing in respect that we've not been able to do the work as early in the week as we usually like to do. I'm not going to say who is injured and who is not injured but a couple of them are still not 100 per cent, so we might have to make a few changes on Saturday."
