Manchester United watch Felipe Anderson, Gonzalo Higuain and Lucas Biglia during Coppa Italia clash
Manchester United are considering a move in signing the Serie A trio of Felipe Anderson, Gonzalo Higuain and Lucas Biglia in the summer, according to French publication Le10Sport.
The Napoli striker and Lazio midfield duo are on the radar of the 20-times English champions. The Red Devils' scout was in attendance during the Coppa Italia semi final clash between these two sides at San Paolo stadium.
Anderson's assist saw Senad Lulic score the only goal of the match, which helped Lazio seal a place in the final of the Coppa Italia against Juventus. It is not the first time the Premier League giants have sent their scouts to watch the Brazilian midfielder in action.
United sent their chief scout Jim Lawlor to see the Brazil U21 international play during Lazio's match against Verona in March. He has already scored nine goals and managed six assists from 23 league appearances.
Meanwhile, Higuain's future at Napoli hangs on the balance as the Italian side's manager Rafael Benitez's future still remains uncertain. The former Real Madrid striker could leave his current employers as Liverpool and Arsenal are keen on securing the player's services, reports the Daily Mail.
United have Radamel Falcao, Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and James Wilson as the four strikers in the squad. The Colombian could leave Old Trafford when his loan spell ends at the end of the season.
The former Arsenal striker could also follow Falcao in the summer as the Dutch international's future still remains unresolved at United. Louis van Gaal could replace Falcao with Higuain in the summer.
In addition to this, Anderson is not the only player who has been impressive for Lazio in the midfield. Biglia has played a key role in the defensive midfield position for Stefano Pioli's side.
Both Anderson and the Argentine international have been receiving praise for their fine form as even Biglia has featured in 23 league matches this season. United need reinforcements in the midfield and could make an approach for the Lazio star duo.
Any move from United for Anderson, Higuain and Biglia will see them face tough competition from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Le10Sport report suggests the Old Trafford club will have to battle with the Ligue 1 winners in signing the Serie A trio as they also had their scouts watch these players in action during the Coppa Italia semi final clash.
