Margot Robbie did not come between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's marriage, says report
Earlier, a report suggested that Jolie tried to block Pitt from casting Robbie in his movie The Big Short.
Among the numerous rumours that have surfaced since Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce, was a recent report linking Pitt with actress Margot Robbie. But as it seems, the whirlwind news too is simply based on speculations.
Popular gossip debunking website Gossip Cop rebutted the report's tall claims, which put the Suicide Squad actress in the middle of Pitt and Jolie's divorce drama. According to the site, Robbie was not responsible for causing the high-profile split nor was there any streak of jealousy between her and the Maleficent actress, as suggested by the original report.
After verifications from sources, Gossip Cop also assured that the 41-year-old actress had no part in blocking Pitt from casting the much younger star for a cameo in his movie, The Big Short.
The clarifications from the website come in the wake of a recent report, which linked Robbie to the 52-year-old actor, even suggesting that Pitt had a bit of "crush" on her.
According to the original report cited by the debunking website, "Brad has had his eyes on Margot for years. He jumped at the chance of working with her so he could spend time with the actress he's had a bit of a crush on."
Adding further fuel to the "jealousy" speculation, the gossip reported by Hollywood Life also mentioned Jolie, who allegedly tried to come between the two. "Even though she tried many times, Angelina was not able to block Brad from working with Margot," the gossip website quoted a source.
"Brad went behind Angelina's back and used his Hollywood connections to get Margot a short cameo in the film he produced, The Big Short," the source added.
The rumours linking Pitt with Robbie surfaced as Jolie made her first video appearance amid her divorce battle with the actor. She filed for the legal separation on 19 September, ending her two-year-old marriage with Pitt.
