Mariah Carey is 'cool' with Nick Cannon having a baby with Brittany Bell

Nick Cannon recently confirmed that he's expecting a child with Brittany Bell and according to a report in a gossip website, the rapper's ex-wife Mariah Carey is completely "cool" with the news and is even planning to spend Thanksgiving with her full family.

The rapper's father, James Cannon reportedly told Hollywood Life that there is no bad blood between the former couple. James said, "It's all good. Nick wants a boy and I would like a grandson. Nick decided to go public and there are no bad feelings between him and Mariah, everything is 'cool.' Everyone is trying to move on with love and positivity."

Cannon, who split with Carey in 2014, will spend the holidays with his former wife, according to his father. "Nick will be seeing Mariah and their kids over Thanksgiving and the holiday season. I'm trying to get my family all together as well. I'm happy for my son, a new child is always a blessing," James told the website.

Speaking on the Breakfast Club, the America's Got Talent host said he is going to be a father for the third time. The 36-year-old said, "I've got a baby on the way. God said be fruitful and multiply. I'm doing the Lord's work ... everybody get a baby! I'm passing them out."

Previously, the former Miss Arizona USA took to Instagram to show off her baby bump with former Miss USA and Miss Universe contestants. Brittany Bell wrote on the image sharing site, "A sweet moment of#celebration with a few of the many incredible women in my life. Missing the rest of you Miss USA /Miss Universe not only puts you in a rare sisterhood no money can buy.. but your child ends up with some of the most naturally beautiful, sweetest, and strongest women from around the country/world to call Aunties!!"
