Met Gala 2015: Beyonce, Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez rival in revealing sheer dresses
There was always going to be fashion rivalry at the Met Gala 2015 but celebrities Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez and Naomi Campbell, completely stole the show when they arrived leaving little to the imagination in extremely sheer dresses.
Attempting to honour the China: Through The Looking Glass theme set by Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Flawless singer Beyonce hit the red carpet draped in a backless Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci design.
The intricate gown, which was decorated with multicoloured crystals, barely protected her modesty and exposed the 33-year-old's cleavage and bum cheeks.
The diva was accompanied by her rapper husband Jay Z, who made no attempts to hide his admiration of his wife's outfit and oogled the pop star as she posed for photos.
Joining Beyonce on the nude spectrum was her frenemy Kim Kardashian, who rocked up to fashion's big night with husband Kanye West and clad in a sheer Roberto Cavalli gown, adorned with white crystals and a feathered train.
Raising the daring stakes, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star did not appear to be wearing any underwear putting her famous bum on full display.
Many eagle-eyed fans on social media have pointed out that Beyonce coincidentally wore a very similar Givenchy design in black and purple at the 2012 MET Gala.
Kardashian also wore her hair in a similar style, scraping her dark tresses into a tight ponytail which is how the Grammy-winning singer wore hers three years ago.
The reality star was pictured backstage catching up with American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez, who also opted for a one-shouldered red sheer gown designed by Versace.
However, the E! star revealed via Instagram that her dress was inspired by the one worn by singer Cher at the first ever Met Gala in 1971.
Bonding over their shared interests, Kardashian, 34, and 45-year-old Lopez, posed for a photo with their backs turned to the camera to show off their bums.
Continuing the feathered-theme, British model Naomi Campbell walked the red carpet with Empire director Lee Daniels, wearing a gold Burberry gown boasting sheer elements, a plunging neckline and a feathered bottom.
Other celebrities who forked out a reported $25,000 for one ticket, included Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Sarah Jessica Parker, Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Lawrence.
