The crème de la crème of fashion is just hours away. Like every year, the who's who from Hollywood, fashion, and music will try to put their best style forward at the Met Gala 2017, the biggest night in the fashion world.

Celebrated on every first Monday of May, this year the ceremony will be held on 1 May. Considered to be the Oscars of the fashion industry, showbiz's elite will be dressed to impress as they will walk the 150ft red carpet before entering the grand annual affair.

You can buy tickets to watch the Red Carpet at the actual event but that will set you back a whopping $25,000 (£19,000) per ticket. So stick to watching the epic fashion night from the comfort of your home by live streaming the event on Vogue's official Facebook page.

Theme for Met Gala 2017

Started in 1946, the Met Gala is not just a sartorial heaven for fashion fans, but also a fundraising event for the benefit of celebrating the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Each year, the event announces a unique theme which the celebrities try to incorporate in their outfits.

Hosted by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams, this year's theme recalls Japanese fashion designer Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons. The exhibition will display 150 designs by the legendary designer.
