A Metropolitan police officer has been charged with possessing 100 indecent images of children. Special Constable Linford Braithwaite, 27, based in the London borough of Barking and Dagenham, has also been charged with five individual counts of making indecent images of children.
Braithwaite was bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on 29 March to face the charges. He was arrested on 20 May 2015 following an investigation by the Sexual Offences, Exploitation And Child Abuse Command (SOECA). He was bailed before being charged for the offences under the Protection of Children Act 1978.
