Michelle Heaton Gives Birth to Baby Boy

Michelle Heaton has become a mother for the second time after giving birth to a baby boy.

The former Liberty X singer and husband Hugh Hanley welcomed their latest addition on Friday morning (28 February).

Announcing the baby news on Twitter, Hanley told his 21,300 followers:

After the couple's timeline was inundated with congratulatory messages, Heaton tweeted:

The mum-of two had described her second pregnancy as a miracle after doctors informed her that she would struggle to conceive again.

In November 2012, Heaton underwent a double mastectomy after discovering that she was carrying the BRCA2 gene, which increased her chances of contracting breast cancer to 80%.

Although doctors said her risk of contracting ovarian cancer was less likely she plans to also remove her ovaries later this year.

"We weren't even trying. This is God's way of saying: "Have your baby now, then get your ovaries out." I can't see it any other way. It's a blessing," she told OK! magazine.
