Michelle Watt: Showbiz stars pay tribute to 60 Minute Makeover host
Showbiz personalities have been paying tribute to daytime TV presenter Michelle Watt, who was found dead in her home.
Her body was discovered in the £350,000 detached house she shared with husband Paul Kerr, 43, and daughter Jaymi, five, in Stirlingshire, Scotland.
Police have confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
The former 60 Minute Makeover host - and daughter of boxing champion Jim Watt – is believed to have taken her own life.
Celebrity friends of the popular TV host expressed their shock at the tragic news and paid their personal tributes.
Breakfast TV presenter Lorraine Kelly, who Michelle had previously described as her 'inspiration', wrote on Twitter: "Absolutely shocked to hear of death of Michelle Watt. Lovely woman and a fantastic mum. Thoughts with her family and everyone who loved her."
The 38-year-old had also worked on programme such as the Scottish dating show Club Cupid and STV's The Hour.
Glasgow comedian Des Clarke, her co-host on Club Cupid, said: "It's so sad. My memories of Michelle are just all so happy. She was just really fun to be around and such a lovely, genuine person and so hard-working.
"I never remember her having a bad day. She was a beautiful-looking girl and so full of joy. It didn't matter what time of day I'd see her, first thing in the morning or last thing at night, she was so glam – and I'd turn up in T-shirts and scruffy jeans and old trainers," he added.
Make-up expert Craig Alexander Wilson said: "To hear this is devastating. Michelle was easy to work with and a real professional who had a zest for life. She loved her industry, was very committed to her family and husband, and I know she was the apple of her father's eye."
Michelle's death is the second family tragedy to strike her parents Jim and Margaret. In October 1995, their son Jim junior lost his life in a road crash when he was only 17-years-old. He was the youngest of the pair's three children.
Jim and Margaret were said to be too distraught to speak publicly.
