Middlesex University Murder: Woman and Man Bailed Over Campus Stabbing of Noor Hassan Barre
A woman and a man have been released on bail over the fatal stabbing of Noor Hassan Barre at Middlesex University.
The 21-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were arrested in connection with the case yesterday (Monday, 3 November) but have now been bailed to a date later this month.
Two other men, aged 21 and 20 years old, who were also arrested yesterday, remain in police custody.
Barre, who was not a student at the north London university, was stabbed after a fight broke out at the university campus shortly after 1am on Friday, 31 October.
He was taken by London Ambulance Service to hospital in a critical condition but died a short time later.
A post-mortem examination held at Northwick Park Hospital gave the cause of death as stab wounds to the chest.
Middlesex University statement
"Fortunately, incidents such as these are rare at our university. However, Middlesex University takes a very serious line to violence on campus and any students found to be involved will be removed immediately.
"We are cooperating fully with the police as their investigations continue."
