Miley Cyrus drops the 'F-bomb' on live TV
The singer was unaware that she could be heard, as a cameraman took a live shot of her before the Today show interview.
Miley Cyrus is renowned for her outrageous antics on stage, but the controversial star left viewers shocked when she dropped the F-bomb on live TV. The Wrecking Ball singer was appearing on the Today show when she accidentally uttered the expletive.
The 23-year-old was in the engineering room when a camera caught a live shot of her. Making faces and poking her tongue out in her characteristic manner, she was unaware that her microphone was on at the time.
"What should I do with this?" she asked. "I don't know. There's no sound, so it doesn't matter what I'm saying, right? F***."
In the interview, Miley revealed why she has decided to no longer walk red carpets, explaining that the photographers make her feel uncomfortable when they holler at her saying things like "'Blow us a kiss!'
"I don't feel like blowing you a kiss," she said, adding: "'Like what is going on? Who are you? And then you're just kind of putting yourself out there for people to talk."
The former Disney star who is known for her barely-there wardrobe, wore an over-the-top, but modest red-and-white gingham outfit inspired by her godmother Dolly Parton. "That's usually why I don't wear too much, but they make me wear clothes on The Voice and on the Today show, so this is what I chose... people are going to talk about it," she explained.
The singer, who is rumoured to be engaged to boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, refused to be drawn on her marriage plans Mail Online reports. Responding to questions about her diamond ring she said simply: "I didn't pick this out... but it's really cute."
The A list couple first started dating in 2009 after meeting on the sets of The Last Song. In 2012, they got engaged but split in 2013. However, the couple reignited their romance in December 2015 and are rumoured to be planning to tie the knot.
