Miley Cyrus leans on to Liam Hemsworth as couple make first official public appearance in 3 years
Together, the pair cut a relaxed figure as they complemented each other's attire as well.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth seem to have made their relationship official again as they attended the first public event together since their reconciliation in January this year. The pair appeared together at Variety's 2016 Power Women luncheon in Beverly Hills on Friday, where Hemsworth accompanied his girlfriend.
According to reports, the Hunger Games actor escorted the pop star to the gala to support her as she was being honoured for her work with the Happy Hippie Foundation.
Hemsworth and Cyrus, who had split earlier in September 2013 only to rekindle their romance again in 2016, even posed for pictures together during the event.
Gushing about the adorable couple, an onlooker told E! News that at a particular point, "[Miley] wrapped her arm around him and leaned her head against his shoulder."
Together, the pair cut a relaxed figure as they complemented each other's attire as well. While Cyrus flaunted a navy blue jumpsuit with flared bottoms and a ruffled collar her beau kept his look minimal and sophisticated. The 26-year-old Australian actor looked debonair in a crisp white shirt and black suit jacket that he donned with his signature smirk.
Cyrus, who also stars as the cover girl for the Variety magazine was one among the other big names like Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson and Laverne Cox that were honoured at the luncheon. Known for her charity foundation, which the 23-year-old pop star founded in 2014 to help homeless youth and the LGBTQ community, Cyrus even made a moving speech on-stage.
"I was overjoyed to not only share today with the brazen women in this room ... but feeling just so fortunate," she said as Hemsworth cheered on her from the audience.
