Miley Cyrus shares emotional duet with father Billy Ray Cyrus for suicide prevention awareness
The father-daughter duo sang their own rendition of How've Ya Been in the touching Instagram video.
Miley Cyrus has been sharing one emotional moment after another on social media. The songstress posted a heart-melting duet video and She followed up with a picture of her father Billy Ray Cyrus on Instagram.
Sharing the throwback image of the Achy Breaky Heart singer on the popular picture-sharing site, Miley tagged her father's Instagram handle in the comments. In the picture, the 55-year-old singer is seen rocking a black costume on-stage as he seemingly raises both his hands mid-performance. Soon, the Some Gave All hitmaker too shared the love as he reposted the image on his account.
Previously the 23-year-old pop-star took up a social cause on the social media as she shared a moving musical video featuring her "magic jam sesh" with Billy. In the beautiful clip aimed at raising awareness for suicide prevention, the father-daughter duo is seen performing their own rendition of How've Ya Been, from Billy's 2006 album Wanna Be Your Joe.
"Suicide awareness month has come to an end but never should the fight for love and acceptance for all!" the Voice coach wrote along with her Instagram post. According to the Wrecking Ball hitmaker's touching tribute, the song was written by her father in honour of his dead friend.
"This is the 2nd song my dad ever wrote years ago after his best friend took his own life because of discrimination in his community...Love love love," she shared.
While the video message with Miley playing the Piano and Billy finger picking the guitar was emotional on its own grounds; it was also nostalgic for the Hannah Montana fans as they were treated to such duets after almost a decade.
