Millionaire George Clooney recycles wedding suit for 2015 Golden Globes
He may have millions in the bank but George Clooney has revealed that he is as thrifty as the average Joe.
The Hollywood actor, who was the proud recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime Award at the 2015 Golden Globes, snubbed the hundreds of designers lining up to dress him for his big night by recycling an old outfit.
Taking to the stage to deliver his acceptance speech, the Ocean's Eleven star admitted: "I'm wearing my wedding tux."
The black Giorgio Armani tuxedo, white shirt and black bow tie ensemble was the same outfit that Clooney donned back in September when he married human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin.
The actor broke hearts across the globe when he said "I do" in Venice, in a lavish ceremony attended by over 100 guests, including Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford Bono and Anna Wintor. The nuptials was a four-day marathon which included five-star hotel rooms, water taxis, poolside parties, designer dresses, and a wedding reception on the Grand Canal.
And it looks like it's still honeymoon period for the newlyweds.
"It's a humbling thing when you find someone you love," Clooney gushed as he collected his Lifetime Achievement Award.
"Amal, whatever alchemy it is that brought us together I couldn't be more proud to be called your husband."
Amal, who chose a black one shoulder Dior Haute Couture gown and white gloves for the event, blushed in the audience.
