Miss France 2012 is barely a week into her full-time duties as France's beauty pageant representative, so we thought we'd take a look at the top ten.
Delphine Wespiser of Alsace came in first but critics said she won purely for her physique, despite wining 32 per cent of the public vote.
"I do not think that the election carries the image of women as objects. Indeed, I won a beauty contest, but my speech I ' would not have won " , said Delphine Wespiser in an interview with AFP. "I think and hope that the French turned to me for my speech. An object does not speak, does not think. Miss France is the woman in value, it is expressed, I find it beautiful."
Delphine was the 65th recipient of the ceremony that was broadcast live on French national TV.
