Miss World 2015: Top 10 designer dresses of contestants announced
The Miss World office has announced the top 10 designer dresses ahead of the pageant for 2015. The annual Miss World competition, currently in its 65th edition, will be held in Sanya, China, on 19 December.
The 2015 Miss World contestants took part in the World Fashion Designer Dress Event, a special part of the beauty pageant, on 10 December. Contestants showcased their designer dresses in a catwalk show at the Beauty Crown Grand Theatre, where the grand finale of the pageant will take place. A panel of Miss World judges along with designers from luxury brand 1436 Erdos selected the top ten designer dresses.
"The World Fashion Designer Dress Event is a one-of-a-kind spectacle unique to Miss World, and allows contestants from all corners of the globe the unprecedented opportunity to showcase some of the finest couture pieces from their home countries and their favourite designers," the organisation said in a statement.
The top 10 designer dresses of Miss World 2015, in alphabetical order, are of the contestants from:

Guadeloupe (Jessica Jordan)
India (Monisha Jaising)

Vietnam (Ly Qui Khanh)
One of these 10 Miss World contestants will win the pageant's fashion designer award. The designer dress event was also the first stage of the Miss World Top Model Challenge Event, which takes place on 12 December night.
Top 30 model contestants, including these 10 winners, were selected to progress to the final stages of the top model event. During the event, the 30 contestants will showcase the latest designs created by 1436 Erdos, a luxury range of cashmere clothing. A total of 117 contestants are competing for the coveted title at the pageant. One lucky contestant will be crowned winner by the reigning Miss World, Rolene Strauss of South Africa.
