Overview
A 2-2 draw against Northampton Town away from home forced MK Dons to play the replay, which they won comfortably 3-0 at the Stadium MK. They have made it to the fourth round of the FA Cup, where they face the Premier League winners.
Any other time, had they been facing the English champions, it would have been a daunting task. However, manager Karl Robinson and his men are aware that they can take advantage of the Blues' poor campaign this term. MK Dons have had mixed results in recent times and need to have a solid defensive unit in order to stop the west London club from scoring.
Chelsea come into the fixture after a 1-0 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. Diego Costa's goal was the difference between the two sides as Guus Hiddink's side walked away from north London with three points.
In the last round of the FA Cup clash, they defeated Scunthorpe United 2-0 at home. It was a comfortable victory for Chelsea and Hiddink will be hoping for a similar performance when his men face the Championship side on Sunday.
What manager says
Karl Robinson: "We know if they're at their best they can beat anybody in the world. It's a free game, to an extent, and a wonderful experience as well. It's very rare you go into a game just to be able to enjoy it."
Guus Hiddink: "We recovered a bit and made some steps with draws. Hopefully now we can make some steps with some victories. Going on the road to the FA Cup, it would be a huge achievement because the FA Cup is not an undervalued cup, neither in England nor around the world. It would be an achievement."
