MetaQuotes Software Corp has released the mobile version of the MetaTrader 4 trading platform for Android devices, two months after developing the iOS version. The new platform is available to all Android smartphones and tablet PC users and supports 570 servers of brokerage firms.

The number is expected to increase, said the company.

Android users will be able to trade, analyse the market with charts, watch quotes around the clock and examine deal history - at no cost.

"With the release of the MetaTrader 4 trading platform for iOS and Android we cover 70 percent of the total number of smartphone users at once but we are not going to stop and relax at this stage," said Gaies Chreis, chief operating officer of MetaQuotes Software Corp.

"We believe that mobile trading will be extremely popular in the near future, therefore, we paid close attention to the development of other mobile operation systems. It is quite possible that the application for Windows Phone will also be released this year."

Development of both iOS and Android applications would continue, he said.
