Modern Family star Sofia Vergara to appear in The Simpsons as a 'sexy new teacher'
She is considered to be one of the most beautiful women on the planet and now Sofia Vergara can add Bart Simpson to her list of admirers. The Modern Family star is preparing to go yellow after landing a converted role as a sexy teacher in an upcoming episode of The Simpsons.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the 43-year-old Colombian-born actress will play Mrs Berrera, at the fictional Springfield Elementary School, in the episode Teenage Mutant Milk-Caused Hurdles, which will air in September.
The site states that the fictional 10-year-old will fall for the teacher after he "starts drinking a milk substitute filled with bad hormones and experiences early puberty" but it will not be smooth sailing because Principal Skinner also has feelings for his fellow war veteran.
"She's more forgiving than Mrs Krabappel was of Bart. She pays special attention to him," Simpsons executive producer Al Jean explained. "We thought it'd be interesting if both Bart and Skinner have a crush on the same woman. She feels Skinner is a wounded soul that she wants to take care of. She is a vet like Skinner, and that's his attraction."
Vergara joins a long list of stars including Anne Hathaway, Daniel Radcliffe, Halle Berry, Danny DeVito and Natalie Portman who have made cameos on the Fox show. The Modern Family and Hot Pursuit actress has previously voiced characters on two other animated Fox shows, Family Guy and The Cleveland Show.
