Motorola is widely expected to launch the successor to its flagship smartphone, the Moto X. According to leaks, rumours and reports, the smartphone will be called the X+1 and will feature high end specifications. Given below is everything that we know about the Moto X+1.
Moto X+1 Release Date
Motorola is expected to unveil the device on September 4th according to new reports. The company has sent out invites to the media, calling for an event next month.
The images on the invite hint that Motorola will launch the Moto X+1, along with a new budget smartphone, smartwatch and bluetooth earpiece.
Previous rumours indicated that the smartphone would be released on 25 September.
Moto X+1 Price
Back in May, Motorola revealed information on the Moto X+1 through a string of accidental leaks on the MotoMaker website. Apart from several other details, the company outed the smartphone's price, confirming that the Moto X+1 will cost $400 for AT&T.
Moto X+1 Specs
Recently, a mysterious Motorola device with model number XT1097 was spotted at the Geekbench database. That smartphone is expected to be the Moto X+1. According to the benchmarks, it will house a Snapdragon 801 MSM8974-AC chipset, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot. It will also feature a 5.2in 1080p display.
Moto X+1 Camera
Reports indicate that the Moto X+1 will house a 12 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. Leaked footage has also indicated that the phone will be able to record 4K video and perform other powerful imaging functions.
Moto X+1 Battery
The handset is rumoured to house a 2,900 mAh battery. This will allow it to offer over a day of battery life and compete with smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8, all of which have slightly smaller batteries.
