Motorola Android L Update: Eligible Smartphones Include Moto G, Moto X, Droid Mini and Many Others
Wondering if your Motorola smartphone will get an Android L update? Motorola has just answered that question by naming the smartphones from its line-up that will get the next version of Google's mobile operating system.
Currently, Motorola models due to receive Android 5.0 Lollipop include the Motorola Moto X (both 2013 and 2014 models), the Motorola Moto G (both 2013 and 2014 models), Motorola DROID Ultra, Motorola DROID MAXX, Motorola DROID Mini, Motorola Moto G with LTE, and the Motorola Moto E.
However, the Motorola DROID Turbo is expected to be on the list as well. It is expected to be launched on 30 October. The smartphone should come to market with Android 4.4.4 Kitkat pre-installed before it gets a quick Android L update.
For those of you who have Motorola smartphone models restricted to software updates as old as Jelly Bean, rest assured that you won't be receiving Android L.
If you own a smartphone from Asus, this report should give you a good idea of when your smartphone will receive its Android L fix.
