Motorola Moto G (2015) surfaces on Indian e-tailer before launch
Motorola's next-gen Moto G smartphone, tentatively termed Moto G (2015) is set to be launched at an event on 28 July in London. This handset is known to be a comparatively advanced variant of its predecessor along with being affordably priced.
Now, the smartphone's Indian price has surfaced via e-tailer Flipkart which has also listed the full technical specifications of the Moto G (2015).
According to TechDroider (which first spotted the Moto G listed on Flipkart), the next-gen smartphone will be priced at a reasonable Rs 12,000 ($187, £121). This price is said to be applicable to the 8GB variant of the handset. A 16GB internal storage edition is also rumoured to be launched.
According to the Flipkart listing (now removed), Moto G (2015) will feature a 5in display enclosed in a Gorilla Glass 3 protector. The smartphone will be driven by Google's more recent Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) operating system.
Moto G (2015) will also feature a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 1GB RAM on board.
The smartphone's 8GB internal storage is also said to be expandable up to 32GB with the help of an external MicroSD card.
The handset features a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front camera.
For connectivity, there are LTE, HSPA, GSM, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 2.0 and microUSB.
A 2,470 mAh battery is said to power the next-gen Motorola Moto G.
At its 28 July event, Motorola is also expected to unveil the successor to its Moto X (2014), tentatively termed Moto X (2015).
