Mr Robot season 2: Filming kicks off in New York City with cast and crew posting updates

Filming for Mr Robot season 2 kicked off in New York City this week with the show's creator and actors posting some updates from the sets. The showrunner, Aaron Korsh, tweeted a photo of a NYC street where one of the exterior scenes for the season was being shot. He added the caption "Day 1 of #MrRobot 2.0." (via Christian Today)

The two lead actors of the series also shared some images on social media indicating that their work on season 2 has started. Rami Malek, who portrays the role of delusional hacker Elliot, posted a photo of his wardrobe for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Christian Slater shared a photo of the cap that his character Mr Robot wears in the series.

In an earlier interview, actor BD Wong – who made quite an impact in his transgender role of White Rose in season 1 – had stated that he will be part of the second season of Mr Robot and that all the actors will be getting together for a table read in March.

"We've been invited to do a table reading of the entire first half of that season, so they can hear what the whole first half of the season is. I think that's safe to say," stated the actor. "We're going to be in there in March, I think, and sit down and read the first episodes. At which point I will know a little bit more."

Mr Robot season 2 is rumoured to premiere in June/July of 2016.
