Murder Charge in Death of Paedophile Robert Hind in Huddersfield
A paedophile deemed a risk to children may have been murdered in a vigilante-style attack in Yorkshire.
Robert Hind, 46 sparked a police alert when he went missing on December 11, after last being seen at Huddersfield bus station.
Police have charged David Mitchell, 46, of Manchester Road, Cowersley with murder.
This follows the discovery of human remains in the river Colne, just outside the town.
Hind was convicted of a range of offences against children.
Superintendent Scott Wood said: "A post-mortem examination of the suspected human remains recovered from the Colne Vale area of Huddersfield will take place shortly and a formal identification will follow.
"I am continuing to appeal for anyone who can assist in our investigations and the movements of Robert Hind between 9.20am on Wednesday December 11 2013 and Saturday December 14 2013."
