In this week's Music Minute, Lady Gaga films the Perfect Illusion music video, Bestival kicks off on the Isle Of Wight and Nicki Minaj drops new single The Pinkprint Freestyle.

Lady Gaga films a Perfect Illusion

Rumour has it that Lady Gaga will release her new single this week. According to fansite GagaDaily, Mother Monster will premiere Perfect Illusion on Friday (9 September). And yes, a music video is also on the way. The pop star was seen shooting the visuals in a desert just outside of Los Angeles on 2 September with her longtime designer Brandon Maxwell styling the shoot.

Teasing the video, Gaga shared a photo of herself in a car on-set with the caption: "Drivin' in my Bronco with my #MotherMonster Chain On miss my fans, can't wait for u to hear #PERFECTILLUSION." Perfect Illusion will be Gaga's first official solo single in almost three years and is expected to feature on her upcoming fourth album.

Bestival 2016

The summer of live music will be brought to a close with Bestival kicking off on 8 September. The Isle Of Wight music festival will include performances from the likes of Major Lazer, The Cure, Bastille, Years & Years and Diplo. Festivities will draw to a close on 11 September with a joint headline set from US rapper Wiz Khalifa and Sean Paul.

Nicki Minaj drops a new freestyle

Lastly if you need to update your playlist, then check out Nicki Minaj's new track. The Young Money rapper released The Pinkprint Freestyle as a surprise on 4 September and she does not hold back with the song spanning a lengthy six minutes. Branding herself the "female Jay Z", Minaj raps: "Young man, it's the female Jay, I'm a brand according to what retail say". She also raps: "Yeah my tours be sellin' out on presale day, plus I got the title queen stream, press replay."
