Music Minute: Zayn Malik tops US album chart and 5 Seconds Of Summer take over London's O2 Arena
In this week's Music Minute: Zayn Malik tops the US album chart, 5 Seconds Of Summer kick off UK tour and Jason Derulo releases new single.
Zayn Malik debut album hits number one
It's safe to say that Zayn Malik's start as a solo artist has been a success. The former One Direction star has topped the Billboard 200 chart in the US with his debut album Mind Of Mine but that's not all he's achieved – as he has become the only UK male artist to land at number one with a debut album.
He's also the first male artist in the UK to top the Billboard 200 chart with a debut release since George Michael's Faith album 28 years ago. Mind Of Mine is currently sitting atop the charts in 60 countries.
5 Seconds of Summer kick off UK tour
Prepare for mayhem at the O2 Arena this week, as 5 Seconds Of Summer are coming to town. The Australian boy band will bring their Sounds Live Feels Live tour to the London venue for two nights on 7 and 8 of April, and from what we've seen so far, it promises to be one hell of a show.
Single of the week
If you need to update your playlist then Jason Derulo has a new club banger for you. The US singer has released a brand new song called If It Ain't Love, which boasts a synth-heavy anthemic bassline and will have you hitting that dance floor in no time.
