Naughty Boy Slams The Saturdays: They do Nothing for Music [VIDEO]
Music producer Naughty Boy has slammed The Saturdays as a disappointing girl group that "do nothing for music".
The La La La hitmaker accused Mollie King, Una Healy, Vanessa White, Frankie Sandford and Rochelle Humes of craving fame over success and sending out the wrong message to young fans.
"I'm really into personalities, they are scarier than celebs. Celebrities aren't scary, I don't crave fame or that side of it at all," he told Yahoo omg.
"People crave fame too much, they don't write their own songs, they just look pretty. That is sending wrong signals to kids. You should crave success and not fame.
"People like The Saturdays or Stooshe - they base their stuff on stuff that isn't important, on things that don't last."
The 28-year-old artist, born Shahid Khan, said the band's contribution to music was not worth listening to.
"It's throwaway. They can be as sexy as they can but they are doing nothing for music. It's so disappointing," he said.
He had a more flattering opinion of stars such as Ed Sheeran, Adele and Emeli Sande.
"Ed, Adele and Emeli are all real and human and give people real music - that's what people really want."
Naughty Boy's Hotel Cabana is scheduled for release on 26 August.
