NCIS Los Angeles season 7: Agent Callen discovering his identity is just the beginning, teases producer
Special Agent G. Callen's first name and his real identity has been kept under wraps for the last seven seasons. But in the upcoming episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles season 7, fans will finally learn what the G in his name stands for.
Executive producer Shane Brennan told Entertainment Weekly, "It was always my intention to reveal Callen's identity before the series ended. We've had a lot of fun finding out who Callen is, and from where he came. I wanted the audience to have the opportunity to enjoy that moment."
The producer also teased that Callen, played by Chris O'Donnell, discovering his real identity is just the beginning. "And while he's now discovered his identity, Callen's odyssey isn't over. In many ways, it's just beginning." Callen's big reveal will come out in a special episode schedule to air in February 2016.
The show is currently on a midseason hiatus and will return with all-new episodes this Monday, 4 January 2016, at 10pm EST on CBS Network. Episode 12 is titled Core Values, where Kensi and Deeks will go undercover at a decommissioned nuclear power plant.
The official synopsis reads as follows:
