Neil Patrick Harris shares heart-warming photo of husband and son celebrating 13-year milestone

Neil Patrick Harris dons multiple caps in his professional, as he's a great actor, comedian, host and TV personality. In his personal sphere he is known for being a loving husband and a doting father. The 43-year-old recently shared an adorable photo as he celebrates his 13<sup>th anniversary along with husband David Burtka.

The two got married in 2014, but have known each other for the past 13 years. Celebrating the relationship milestone with fans and followers on Instagram, Harris shared his partner and son Gideon's picture.

"Thirteen years and one day ago, I crossed paths with the guy on the left. The adventures have never ceased," the caption of the image read. He continued, "The love has never waned. The gifts are never ending (the guy on the right, e.g.). Happy Anniversary, @dbelicious. You're the best."

The couple, who share six-year-old twins – son Gideon and daughter Harper – welcomed the children via a surrogate in 2010. Four years after becoming fathers, Harris and Burtka got married in an intimate wedding ceremony.

The wedding was witnessed by 45 close friends and family members, and was replete with fireworks and an Elton John performance. According to the Series Of Unfortunate Events villain, the ceremony was all for the children.

"I think when our kids got to the age where they were having reasonable conversations – where they're asking lots of why questions – then it seemed like to be able to have a real clear-cut explanation of who their daddy is," the 43-year-old actor had said shortly after their wedding. "I think it's great [to say], 'He's my husband'."

Harris' Instagram account is a reflection of his family-oriented life as he frequently shares images of his fraternal twins and his partner Burtka.
