Nemanja Matic, Jordan Larsson and Aiden McGeady: The Best and Worst of the Transfer Window 13/01
The best rumour of the day
Rumours today suggest that Nemanja Matic could be closer to making his Chelsea return in a deal worth around £21m.
The Benfica midfielder left Stamford Bridge back in 2011 in a swap which saw David Luiz join the Blues.
According to reports by the Portuguese daily sports paper O Jogo, the 25-year-old Serbian is just 24 hours from completing a deal which will see him make the move back to London.
Matic, capped nine times for Serbia, has been a success for Benfica and could be just the man Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is looking for to strengthen his midfield.
The worst rumour of the day
According to reports the 16-year-old son of footballing legend Henrik Larsson could be set for a move to Manchester United.
Jordan Larsson is currently playing at Hogaborks BK but has trained with Barcelona and is now rumoured to be following in the footsteps of his father who spent a brief time on loan at United after making 220 appearances for Celtic.
Larsson Jnr. is currently playing as an attacking midfielder at Hogaborks who have said they are keen to keep hold of the Swede for a little longer.
"Jordan will stay another year with us, then after that anything can happen. Helsingborgs are interested too but they see the importance of developing him and understand he should get another year with us," said Jordan's manager Kenneth Karlsson.
"There are other teams who have watched him but we have beaten off interest from foreign clubs and other teams in Sweden."
