New Amazon Prime customers can bag a Fire TV stick for just £10 – if they are quick
Offer expires at 23.59 GMT on 20 September.
If you've been thinking about signing up to Amazon's video streaming service, its latest promo offer might further whet your appetite. The company has slashed the price of its Fire TV stick to just £9.99 ($13, €12) for new customers who sign up to 12 months of Amazon Prime.
Like Chromecast, Amazon's streaming stick plugs into your TV's HDMI port and gives it Smart TV powers, letting you stream video from services such as Netflix, BBC iPlayer and, of course, Amazon Prime. Sadly it doesn't offer 4K as per its bigger brother, the Fire TV, but even so the device usually costs £34.99, so it's a pretty good offer.
As well as access to its increasingly strong video library, Amazon Prime also gives you free next-day delivery on Amazon orders, free e-books and early access to special deals. A one-year membership costs £79, which is more than Netflix's Basic subscription package but less than its £7.49 per month Standard package, which offers HD streaming.
Amazon has launched a new advert to celebrate the promotion that stars new mascot Jeremy Clarkson. You can watch that below, if you really want to.
The Fire TV Stick offer expires at 23.59 GMT on Tuesday 20 September, so if you've been looking for an excuse to dive into Amazon's content ecosystem, get cracking.
