Newlywed Cheryl Fernandez-Versini to Celebrate Nuptials with Lavish Party for Family and Friends
Newly wed Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is set to celebrate her recent nuptials with a party for close friends and family.
The Crazy Stupid Love singer shocked fans when she announced on social media that she had married her French boyfriend of three months, 33-year-old Jean-Bernard on July 7, in an intimate ceremony in Mustique.
The X Factor judge posted a photo of her diamond wedding ring on Instagram, announcing that she had tied the knot.
She wrote: "I want to share my happy news. Jean-Bernard and I married on 7/7/14. We are very happy and excited to move forward with our lives together."
After the secret wedding, the 31-year-old is now ready to celebrate her nuptials with a lavish party attended by 80 family and friends.
A friend of the singer said: "Cheryl just wants to share her happiness with those closest to her and it will be throwing a party at some point later this week.
"She won't be renewing her vows or having another ceremony as has been reported, or even wearing a wedding dress.
"She's been so busy that she hasn't had time to see everyone since she flew back home, so this is the perfect opportunity for her and Jean-Bernard to catch up with their nearest and dearest," the source added.
It has also been revealed that the former Girls Aloud singer was friends with Jean-Bernard last year, dispelling concerns of a whirlwind relationship and speculation that Cheryl might be pregnant.
"They actually got to know each other at the end of last year when Cheryl was in South Africa, but they were just friends then. They got together earlier this year," said the source.
"She's only just got married - all these pregnancy stories that are going around at the moment are simply nonsense. She was pictured out the other night, drinking with friends."
In a recent interview the Geordie star revealed that she was not planning on having children any time soon stating: "they're not in my plans."
