Rapper Nick Cannon reveals worst part of divorce with Mariah Carey is battle over children

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey had filed for divorce back in December 2014, according to reports; but the legally separated couple has since then maintained a very amicable relationship. Gossip reports even note that the celebrity couple has maintained their public appearances, as they spend holidays and big events together with their twins – Moroccan and Monroe.

However, not everything is rosy behind that cordial split between Cannon and Carey, as the rapper revealed the worst part about their divorce during a recent interview.

Speaking on The Howard Stern Show on Monday, the America's Got Talent host expressed his disdain towards labelling the time spent with his children as 'visitation.'

"It's kind of f****d up when time with your kids is considered visitations," he said. "It's unfair to the fathers in the situation. I'm just keeping it real...That's pain, right there."

Although, the legal terms continue to irk the actor-cum-comedian, he still values every moment that he gets to spend with his five-year-old twin children.

"Everything shuts down when I'm with my kids," he told Stern adding, "It's their time [and] my house is like a big fun house. I have a candy store and slides...We're just playing the whole time."

He continued, "But I'm also the most stern. I'm the disciplinarian, 100-percent. They know dad don't play."

The news comes following rumours suggesting post-split drama, as reports claimed that Cannon was delaying signing the divorce papers. The 35-year-old singer even rapped about his infamous divorce and mentioned how he doesn't get to see his children.

However, an E! News report maintains that the father-of-two was all praises for his estranged wife. "Mariah and I are super cool. We talk every day," he said, adding that he's a "'recurring character in the sitcom' when he comes knocking at their door to pick up the kids."

On the note of Carey getting engaged to her billionaire fiancé James Packer, Cannon said, "To see her happy is outstanding. I love it!" before he jokingly added, "I wish all my exes [found] billionaires!"
